July 23, 2024 - Kentucky Hill Country

I left Williamstown, Kentucky a little late this morning. It was raining outside until about 10:00am. So, I set out around 10:30am. I had a great rest day yesterday, and I started on the sequel to The Rising Son musical. This musical will follow the book of Acts, Paul's journey in life, and the start of the church. I got nine songs wrote yesterday during my break day. I hope the rest of the sequel is so easy and enjoyable to write. I can't wait to continue to dive into the writing process. By the time this journey concludes, I'll have plenty of material for The Sunrise Hope musical collaboration. I'm so thankful that the Lord has set this task on my heart to complete. Like I said, it is very enjoyable, and it will have a positive impact on the folks who listen to it or read it. Who knows, maybe someone will come to know the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and savior.

Today was a great riding day. I was in the middle of nowhere almost all day long until I got to Carrolton, Kentucky. I floated past vast farmland, rolling hills, forested hillsides, and great vistas. When I got to Carrolton, KY, the traffic really picked up, and once again, there was no shoulders on the Ohio River Kentucky road. Once I got to Carrolton I decided to keep riding to Madison, IN. It is the first time I've been in Indiana on this trip. I'm hoping the Ohio River Scenic Byway on the Indiana side will be less traffic with decent-sized shoulders. I'll find out tomorrow. I'll probably be getting off the river road and heading straight across Indiana and Illinois to Hartford, Illinois. I will make my determination tomorrow based on road conditions and local traffic density.

Tonight, I'm going to camp out at a local park here in Madison, IN. I hope I don't get kicked out. It may rain tonight, but I have shelter where I am at. God bless and onward!
